How to Prepare for Your Boat Tour in Montenegro
Montenegro's coastline is best explored from the sea — and what better way to do that than with a boat tour through the stunning Bay of Kotor? Whether you’re joining a group or planning a private adventure, here’s everything you need to know to get ready for your Sea Rush speedboat experience.
1. Dress for the Occasion
Comfort is key when you're out on the water. Choose light, breathable clothing and wear your swimsuit underneath. A hat and sunglasses are essential to protect you from the sun, and a light jacket might come in handy if there's wind.
2. Don’t Forget the Essentials
Pack a beach towel, high-SPF sunscreen (reef-safe is a plus), and a waterproof bag or phone case. If you plan to swim, water shoes can help with slippery rocks. A light snack and water bottle are also good ideas, even though refreshments are offered onboard.
3. Protect Your Tech
If you’re bringing a camera or phone, make sure it’s safe from splashes or unexpected waves. Waterproof pouches or dry bags are a small investment that can save your devices from damage.
4. Prepare for Fun and Flexibility
Some tours include swimming stops, cave explorations, or historical visits. Be ready for a bit of everything — from diving into crystal-clear waters to listening to your skipper share local legends and fun facts. Bring curiosity and a sense of adventure!
5. Respect the Sea
The Adriatic is beautiful but powerful. Life jackets are available and sometimes required — always follow your skipper’s advice. Safety briefings at the start are short but important.
6. Be Punctual
Arrive at least 15–20 minutes before departure. It allows time for check-in, a quick briefing, and ensures you don’t miss your tour.
7. Disconnect & Enjoy
A boat tour is the perfect opportunity to unplug. Let the rhythm of the waves, the warmth of the sun, and the breathtaking views take over. You'll leave with unforgettable memories — and maybe even a new perspective.
